    how are all these mg dealers staying in buisness

    Hi there just a thought with so many mg dealers in the uk selling only the tf how can they stay afloat as there only selling the tf in small numbers are some of them selling other makes as well

    I think the majority have dealer status for another brand...or are specialising in perhaps nearly new cars from another brand.

    I guess it must be a struggle for the faitfull dealers that are hanging on

    My local one probably makes most of its money from servicing, mainly MG and Rover, but it also sells used cars, mainly not MG or Rover. The showroom only has MGs in, not just the TF but also F, B and midget. I've also seen they have a 1300 and an apparantly unused ZS180MkII - kept under wraps!

    the franchised dealers I am thinking of have another marque as their main one. It would be interesting to know how many of the 40(?) MG dealers have another franchise and, if so, what... another main source of income is certainly needed!
